Driver Eligibility and Application
Driver applicants must be at least 21 years old. Each applicant must provide accurate information, including a full legal name, date of birth, current residential address, current profile photograph, driver’s-license number, issuing state, and expiration date. Submitting an application begins the review process; it does not authorize an applicant to provide rides.
Screening Consent
By applying, the applicant authorizes RideCow and its authorized screening providers to obtain and review criminal-history information, sex-offender-registry information, and motor-vehicle or driving-record information for driver eligibility and safety purposes. Providing consent does not guarantee approval.
Separate Screening and Document Verification
The initial website signup does not require applicants to upload driver-license or insurance images. Before an applicant may obtain or retain active driver status, RideCow will separately collect, review, or verify the materials and screening results applicable to that applicant, including:
• a current driver license;
• a driving-history or motor-vehicle-record report;
• current vehicle registration;
• automobile insurance that authorizes rideshare or transportation-network-company activity;
• required criminal-history and sex-offender-registry screening; and
• the required annual vehicle inspection.
Annual and Continuing Eligibility
RideCow manually rechecks driver eligibility at least annually and whenever otherwise required by applicable law. Drivers must promptly report any suspension, expiration, criminal charge or conviction, insurance or registration lapse, failed inspection, or other change that could affect eligibility. RideCow may request additional information or conduct additional checks at any time permitted by law.
State and Local Requirements
This policy applies to RideCow drivers in every state. Additional state or local licensing, screening, insurance, inspection, recordkeeping, or disclosure requirements may apply. RideCow may require further information or verification to satisfy those requirements.
Approval, Suspension, and Deactivation
An applicant will not receive active driver status until RideCow has approved all required information, outside screening, and documents. Inaccurate, incomplete, expired, or misleading information may result in denial, suspension, or deactivation. Screening and eligibility information is used for safety and eligibility purposes and is handled under RideCow’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
